Honnavar - One of the Beautiful Towns

Honnavar is truely honnina vara ( gift of gold ). Honnavar is one of the most beautiful, peaceful and lovable cities . Having been born and brought up at Honnavar I have many cherished memories about this place.

The cool breeze at Apsarkonda , the mesmerizing nature's beauty visible from Apsarkonda,then the railway bridge on the Sharavati river , they are all just superb. I can never forget the time spent by me and my friends at these wonderful places. The beauty and nature of Honnavar is depicted by the silent Sharavati river, the small Islands dispersed here and there on the river, and the Western ghats around its periphery . The railway tunnel at Ramthirth , is very scary , long and quite very dark. Ramthirth is also a very good place to go for morning walk and take natural shower under Ramthirth and Lakshmanthirth.

Honnavar is a city of temples. There are lot of famous and beautiful temples in and around Honnavar. The Karikanparmeswari temple , the jungles in and around this temple are very soothly. The Idagunji, Murdeshwar and Gokarna temples are among the most well known.Yana which is just a stone throw away from Honnavar is great place for trekking. Even the highest fall in India The Jog is not too far, its about 2 to 3 hours drive from Honnavar. The picture above gives the view of river Sharavati from Gersoppa ghats.

More than anything the life in Honnavar is very cool and calm. Most of the residents of Honnavar are well educated and are very friendly. Actually I find people at Honnavar more happier than in Bangalore but the surprising thing is that most of the people at Honnavar want to come to Bangalore or some other big city or for that matter some other very rich nations like USA. I think this is how life is :) .

Sometimes as city grows it looses many of its naturally beautiful things and many artificial things come up . Lakes, forests, are replaced by buildings and then people create artificial water lakes to compensate for lost actual lakes. In one sense am very happy that Honnavar has not lost these naturally beautiful places.

However am going to Honnavar tomorrow , so a good break after 6 long months :)

Crazy Owner

I and my dearest friend koli (we are friends from KG class) had recently decided to shift our house.


We were staying at seeta circle from last two years. Seeta circle comes near by to Basvangudi. This was our second house after we came to Bangalore.Even a single sun ray did not reach our house at Sita circle. It was perfect place for people like me who like to sleep :). We put up here as we wanted a very affordable house and a house very near by to the bus stop. After two fun filled years in the house we thought buddy its time to go for a change now. So there started the search for the third rented house.


We were about to complete our 3rd year of engineering hence all plans were revolving around having lot of fun. So the new house had to satisfy our requirement of fun. We finalized upon a lonely house with a big lobby . Most of bachelors prefer this kind of lone house with big lobby reasons are best known to bachelors :). At last the deal was negotiated with the owner and we were having gala time.


My friend Koli the punter, usually does full time pass with his PC on regular days, until a day before the internals. The penultimate day Koli is busiest man in the world and he will sit through out the night and finally do well in his internals.


As usual Koli had internals, he was fully involved in his studies and I was already sleeping , may be snoring also :). This fellow wanted to go to rest room . Rest room is outside the house. So koli mari locked the door and went to rest room felt relived :) there and was coming back.


While returning , he happened to meet the unexpected !!!!!!!!


Our owner slapped him my Godddddd, what the shitttttttttttttttttttttt


The pagal owner did this because, that night some robber had come in that area it seems and owner was confident that we are the robbers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Lot of people had gathered outside our house and were asking us to get out. They locked us in our house and were verbally abusing us.


Actually after getting slapped koli came running , opened the door and woke me up.


When I came near the door, our door was latched form outside and people were literally planning to pull us out of our house.


By God's grace some one else (some neighboring house guys ) caught the actual thief. Only then they opened the door. ... This is incident made me feel that everybody is not mentally alright , so we need to be careful regarding these kind of psychopaths.


Sometimes people are stupid and crazy to any extent.So we should be careful enough to avoid these kind of guys.

Oh Man,

It took nearly 6 months for me to publish my first post .................. My goodness.

I would like to start my blog with some intro to this guy who is blogging.I am Pavan Kumar B K my friends call me as BK.

I am from a beautiful town located on the coastal belts of Karnataka.I spent my initial 18 years here.This is a must visit place for every individual who would like to enjoy nature's beauty. It is a place of water falls, beaches, western ghats, and lot of temples. I miss and love this place a lot.

I did my engineering at one of the best Engineering colleges . I am presently working for one of the leading R&D organization. I believe a person should be respected, loved and considered one among us irrespective of his education, achievements , culture and back ground. Why go for crap comparisons ? Why do we need bullshit boastings ? If you are really a great person like , Edison, Ford, C V Raman, Bendre, recongintion comes to you. No need to go and flaunt it .

I plan to write many things in this blog.

It may vary form my personal opinions to some intersting news.

It may be realted to businness, economics, politics or some movie also.

I plan to have a seperate technical blog for my slef, where I plan to wrire technical stuffs.
